Wonder if a drop in with 450 lumen output single mode would make to much heat for this host. Need it for continous use of at least 20 to 30 minutes. It would be the Malkoff m91w drop in.

Chris,
I have a quick question, I received a FETtie switch today and it is a little taller by about .065" and that leaves a gap between the tail and body. Would there be any ill effects if I trimmed that much off of the threads on the body?

There would be no ill effects if you trimmed 0.065" off the threads on the body.
