Re: TX25C2vn - Pocket Throw King

I have a P60 MTG-2 drop in, and I can tell you, heat is a MAJOR issue in a small form factor like single 18650. It only takes one minute till you need to put the gloves on unless you go nuts and buy a Cryos Illumination copper head/body.

Ouch! I just bruised my chin as my jaw dropped onto my desk!

Re: TX25C2vn - Pocket Throw King

I am curious, since you have the ability to use your own side-clicky driver in this light (which means you can use any emitter available given the sinkpad would fit), what are the chances of the TX25C2vn having a MT-G2 option? Or even one of the Luminus LED emitters? Battery configuration isn't much of an issue since Eagletac offers up extension tubes for this light and many other of their line, plus we could always use two 18350's in the single 18650 tube if needed (albeit at reduced mAh runtime).

MT-G2 in a pocketable size like the TX25C2 (using two 18350's) would be amazing! The deep reflector would at least give it a little bit of throw, probably comparable hotspot size to a XL-L2 in a smaller sized light but with ~3000 lumens and a phenomenal tint!

The light can be modded to drive it, but the MTG2 may not fit in the reflector.

I got no clue why but eagletac use tinted lens in a lot of their lights. This lens makes all tint looks neutral. New option added for this

+ $4 UCL lens, Factory lens neutral tinted

Can someone post some beam shots of this light that show the relationship between throw and spill? I'm interested in the XML2 PDT version with driverVN2.

I know it's a good thrower for its size from Bigwilly's thrower comparison photos. But shots taken for that purpose show only a single distant object as a target. I wonder if the light is useful for general use.

Mine is the 4 mode driver but I'll take some quick shots. I wanna try out the camera on my Note 5 anyway. What do you want me to photograph?

Thanks Bigwilly. Anything like a line of trees, not too far away, that would show the spill relative to the hot spot.
Ok here's some shots of my TX25C2vn XML2 PDTc 4 mode driver. I used my Galaxy Note 5 on auto.

Taken from about 35 meters from the treeline

This one is from about 20 meters

Hopefully these help. I see the tint changes in the pics but it looks neutral in real life. Same as any of my XML2 PDTc in other lights.
I think Vinh said DriverVNX2 gives a 20% boost over my driver. But even so, the performance is awesome.

Perfect pictures! That's one heck of a little light! Thanks so much Bigwilly!
My pleasure. It is an awesome torch. It's thermal management is pretty good too given its size and output.

Nice Pics! :D

I have the TX25C2vn XPG2 PDT "V3" Direct Drive Single mode version which provides the most throw possible in this light! ~ 80/85Kcd/900 lumens.

Thanks!
How much more kcd over a DriverVNX2 would the direct drive be worth would you guess?

I have one with XPL HI 6000K. Beautiful hot spot. Crazy bright. Pure white tint with no yellow or green. The drivervnx2 is perfect for this light. Totally worth the money.

Just got it today, and holy crap it's awesome!! I also have a stock one, so seeing the difference in tint and throw is amazing!
