The only headlamp I have ever owned with no major problems was a ZL H30. It got a funky kind of square beam a couple times, and had to fiddle with batteries a bit a couple times, but it never ever died. I'll probably stick with ZL, but I was wondering about this other light's toughness. Seems you answered my question quite well.

Have one - very heavy PWM (you cannot make a photo using this headlamp cos the camera is getting crazy) - there are 3 big issues from the user point of view:
- the switch is to deep and it's hard to change the mode or sometimes to switch on/of,
- to switch off you need to go through all stronger modes
- the headband is too narrow and soft that the headlamp is bouncing on every faster movement.
