Hello everyone. I went to a thrift store and found two Maglite flashlights. A 2 C and a 2D model. I called Maglite and the 2C model was made 10/92. The 2C model had this horrible cold blue LED in it, but the incandescent was in the tailcap. I am fine with these lights being dim and incandescent. I prefer the flicker free warm light. However, I am not against trying a quality flicker free LED. I want to keep the C and D cells, no mods, just a quality drop in warm LED. I want the lights to remain Maglite tough and dependable. It does not have to be bright. Maglite incandescent brightness is fine for my close up usage. Thank you for the help.

Nite-ize 55 and 74 lumen drop-ins work pretty well for what they are, not warm white but not ugly blue or purple either. These work with 2 to 6 cells.

Rayovac makes one sold at Batteries + Bulbs but I don't know who else sells them. They aren't realky warm like an old flashlight bulb but have pretty neutral tint like a xenon bulb with fresh batteries.
