I did mention the Inretech dropins but I think he wants to stay under $150, and those lights are $200 and $300+.

EL Tristar Phazer is comming soon an It will be set up for rechargeables or alks( however you like) in 4C form. Under $150 also

The HyperLux V is my favorite mid size light. It is beautifully made with a gorgeous bright beam. I have a silver and a blue one, as well as a 2Cr123 hard ano 3W superlight /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

A customer just ordered 1 of each color of the MEGA6's
When I can, I will post a picture of all 4 of them

Need to be carefull; last time I took a picture of our units; it "fried" my digital camera

Since you eliminate mod lights, or else, Don's 3x3W w DB917 on SF M6 might be the brightest. The next is MR X. While many other lights are 3x3W or overdriven DD 5W, the brightness would drop after first 15 minutes. However, unlike incand, brightness drop isn't that noticeable on LED w naked eyes since no color degradation like incand when voltage drop.

The Hyperlux V seems like a great light. Surely a great light like this would have a great warranty to go with it, right? What kind of warranty does this light have?

The warranty on the Hyper Lux V is lifetime on the body, 1 year on the lamp.
That information was valid as of 01-28-04 anyway, and I got it straight from the horse's mouth, as it were.
