Ok so I was bored tonight and decided to check out some of the ear mounted lights that are offered online. Most of them were junk and took coin cells. I wanted something with a bit more power. I started with this 3 dollar piece of junk.
I ripped out the guts and made a couple of small cuts and wound up with this.
Picture of the backside with the plate removed to show that no modding was needed with the flashlight. I just used the pocket clip and slid it into place.
This might come in handy the next time I go camping or fishing. I'd have to say it's a bit brighter than the original led. Make sure you use a light without a lot whine though or be prepared to have a permanent mosquito buzzing in your ear. Now if I can only find a way to mount my nitecore TM11 to my other ear I'd be all set.:naughty:
