A new experimental microscopic tungsten lattice can increase the efficiency of an incandescent electric bulb from 5 percent to greater than 60 percent by converting waste heat into visible light. This should put a kink in LED light development...

Yeah - WOW! Did you see that chart which shows the anticipated efficiency of SSL in 2020 with accelerated development effort? 180lm/W !!! Almost 2x that of fluorescents! Gosh - I'll be 50 in 2020.. Flashlights...what a great retirement hobby
