I'm new so looking for info...

As above i'm new and just looking for info on what's hot etc.

So if you could list what you think are the best lights in the following category that'd give me a better idea! By best i don't mean money no object, but combination of performance and value!

LED Thrower
LED Flood
LED general use (combination of flood and throw)
HID searchlight

Well,I can tell you this for throw in the led category,nothing IMO comes as good as the Dereelight DBS period.

Which ones there are four as well as different drop ins, i'm a bit confused by the range!

Ok,the DBS I own as I do the cl1h v3
the DBS, "in my own words dereelight bright star" are cutting edge it will throw over a thousand feet no probs.
The cl1h v3 is no slouch being smaller,it is hard to beat.

EDC=HDS light
LED Thrower= Aspheric cree
LED Flood= McGizmo Mule
LED general use (combination of flood and throw)= Aspheric cree
HID searchlight= Maxabeam, think Jurassic Park

I live downtown. If I try to throw one of these, it will bonk a neighbour on the head who will promptly call the cops. So no suggestions.
