Protection for Glass Lenses with 3M film

These are sold die-cut for vehicle headlights, but can also be purchased as a plain sheet.

Anybody try using this film on their flashlight to protect the lens?

Zagg Invisible Shield sells circular cut-to fit covers (in mm sizes intended for watches, but would work on a flashlight). It's on every gadget and watch that I own (except for the sapphine crystals). The stuff is amazing. The only thing I've found that it doesn't like so far is sunsceeen and bug juice overspray.
