Using the valiant designs e to m60 conversion head on an e2dl will malkoff dropins operate at two different brightness levels based on the clicking of the tailcap or will it have just one output level. If only one level, is there an e2dl tailcap that will operate the m60 style dropins at two different outputs?

The E2DL tailcap is just a clicky and will not make it a dual level as the KX2 head has the electronics for the modes in the head. There was a 2 stage switch, the McE2S but they are not made anymore but do pop up from time to time on the B/S/T

You could use the LX2 body with LX2 tailcap attached for a two level Valiant Malkoff head. TheLX2 head threads are E series compatable, while the tail cap threads are not E series compatable.

The Sandwich Shoppe used to sell a two-stage switch replacement for the twisty tailcaps. There's got to be a two-stage option among all the aftermarket tails.
