Hi, I was just wondering which is the strongest flashlight using only one CR123A?

Any suggestions?

torva lupus, :welcome:

Strongest meaning most durable/toughest, or brightest, or furthest throwing?

Well the "strongest" goes for the lighting performance, now as about the brightest or furthest there is no any preference...

What you need;

- Quark "X" AA² head
- Quark 123 body

Combine them together and you have a little beast that will crank out 400 ANSI lumens on a single 3V CR123A.

The Jetbeam RRT 01 has my vote with 500 lumens, great build, mode selection and clip. Just be sure you'll be happy with the beam profile- a bit ringy.

Well the "strongest" in a toughness sense would be a HDS, no doubt. The brightest CR123 light however, would be a L2M(or any other CR123 P60 host) with a Quad XPG drop in (made by either Kerberos or VanIsleDSM). It has been measured in a sphere at nearly 1700 OTF lumens. The runtime, even with a IMR18350 cell is pretty poor, at around 7 mins. During that time, it would be the brightest light around.

My Surefire E1b can bench press 100kg :sssh:

It is strong and throws very well.

For pure toughness, it has be considered along with HDS.
