Good evening all,

I am new to the forums and have signed up for a bit of help or advice.

For a personal project, I'm looking to get a specific LED. After scouring the internet for hours looking for a source, I've turned to the community.

I'm looking for a 5mm, 20mA, wide viewing angle (>=90°), 365nm UV LED. The only one I've found that looks appropriate for my project is this:

However, I'm unsure about the reputation of the site. I'm not worried about the $1.00 for the component, but it's the nature of giving away credit card and personal information to an unknown site that scares me. I've scoured Ebay, Digikey, and many other known sellers but really can't find it.

This is the second best I've found, but the viewing angle is far too low:

Do any of you LED lighting Gurus know where I can find what I'm looking for?

Cheers,
Kevstra

If you live in Australia these look like a really good deal, if you can get them to test to make sure they all still work. If you are like me and in the US then $15 for shipping alone is way too much for these! LOL As far as giving away credit card#'s and personal info, they use paypal as a payment method so it should be fairly safe in that way?
