Any info on latest Nichia LEDs?

I recall reading some time ago a press release, detailing a higher lumen Nichia LED release. Maybe 1 watt, 15 lumens or something to that effect perhaps similar to what the Luxeon offers now but I forget the details. Anybody know of any new updates? Even if the same rating as current Luxeon offerings, some people might prefer the more uniform beam of the Nichia compared to the blotchiness of the Luxeon if indeed the higher powered Nichia is similar in beam characteristics of what's offfered now.

I queried Nichia about their 10X about a week ago and was told there was no news but to monitor their web site. I was also informed by a fellow in Canada who uses a fair amount of Nichia that his rep told him samples might be out in a month or so.

I too will be curious to see both how the quality and price compare with the Luxeons.
