Upon doing some research into how scanners worked, I discovered that the newer "slim" style used a scan bar containing a RGB LED. This was more temptation than I could bear, so I tore into my Lexmark X82 and came up with the scan bar between my teeth. After some tweaking I built this jewel into a test fixture. I've gotten alot of enjoyment out of this and wanted to share it with the group. Here is a photo of the beast and a link to a web site I threw together.
