nobody here knows the answer to that question.

Now, if you want to hear about knives made with super-steels, titanium, and inlaid with the teeth of baby unicorns so they glow with a silvery light in the dark, you're talking to the right crowd...

the cheapest knife that I buy is the KaBar Dozier Folding Hunter, around $20 and a great knife at 3 times the price.

SAKs can be purchased for $10 although online the shipping would be too much money and put you over budget.

SO TRUE:)

Why not go to Home Depot and buy the folding box cutter
<$10
You'll be hard pressed to pay $10 including shipping for anything

Don't waste your money on a cheap knife. It will just cut your finger off.

The only thing of quality that you can buy and have shipped for under $10 is available here:

I bought some cheap, around a dollar, knives on eBay some time ago. Most got lost or given away but I still have one that gets used several times a week. The serrated part is still very sharp and the edged part is not bad.
I cut a lot of cardboard and plastic wrap with it and it is better than my good knife for that use.
The cheap one is smart it cuts the plastic wrap and slides off the plastic bottles. My good knife is to stupid to tell them apart and runs right through bottle and wrap... (It couldn't be my fault)

Good luck in your quest, however I don't believe you'll find anything.

We had these little knives a few years ago, they kinda looked like a Spyderco Ladybug with a stud on the blade. At cost they were like .59 cents, so I bought 10 bucks worth and still have them hanging around all over the house. My dad uses one to open his mail all the time. .

In the atlanta area cheap switchblades can be had in convenience stores run by mom's and pop's (usually from india, pakistan, korea). They are kept under the rolls of lottery tickets, just behind the porno mags but to the left of the methamphetamine precursors, perpendiculor to the blunt rolls, within a short distance of the "rose in the test tube crackpipe".
The sexual enhancement pills might obstruct the case from opening , but if you move them, as well as the crack lighters , the copenhagen, and the hangover helper then your 10 dollar bill should do the trick and leave enough left over for a pack of GPC's and a "Foetee uh Ode E Ate Hunet" er I mean a Forty ounce bottle of Olde English Eight Hundred Malt liquor.

My favorite knife dealer has a motto that sums up the way I feel about most everything worth buying in the first place:

Buy the best you can afford.

look for something like a lockback utility knife. While it's not sexy in my experience most cheap knives can't hold an edge and due to cheap materials dull quickly. At least with the utility knife you can toss your old blade for a sharp one. You should be able to find one on amazon or at any local home improvement store.

If you're also patient with wait times, MassDrop good deals pop out from time to time. Right now there's a good deal on the Kershaw Emerson CQC. Ends in 3 days.

Maybe not that cheap, maybe not the answer to your question, but for good quality and dirt cheap fixed blade knives look to Mora and Frost (same difference).
Also, at gunshows you might find a guy selling basic swiss army knives for 5$, these are great deals imo.
