went to a Christmas party yesterday where they were giving out door prizes and got one of these:

Had never seen one but the battery pack has a lever which adjusts the brightness of the light. It goes from red to a very low white up to a pretty bright white. very cool.

Also got a 3d mag, best door prize combo ive ever won.

They have these at Costco for about $17.

I bought one a few months ago and liked it enough to buy two more.

Nice floody beam and the dimmer is versatile. Not a thrower though.

Definitely worth more than what Costco is charging.

Or you could use a modern browser (ie. Firefox, not Internet Explorer) that automatically sizes pictures to fit to the window.

Hey, baby, you don't need to talk to me about "modern," dude! I'm State-o-the-Art, here... A#1 high tech... still using AOL dial-up, with their award-winning "hybrid" browser! :crackup:So slow it actually saves me time by frustrating me into limiting web use to the bare essentials... like CPF!

AOL dial-up.... how mid ninety's. I had dial-up then and it was pretty depressing waiting for images to load.

The image linked to in the first post is about 2 megs. How long did that take to load? Twenty minutes?

Back on topic. Does anyone else have one of these headlamps?

looks like a pretty neat idea.

Only twenty minutes? Naw, that would require me to upgrade to AOL Hyper-Speed Connect!

I tried that headlamp in Costco and was reasonably impressed with it for the price. I forgot... does it take AAA cells?

I don't have this headlamp, but I have the H7. Overall I'm not that impressed. I'm 99% sure the battery case isn't waterproof, and the button is very hard to locate as well. The beam focuses from a spot beam to all flood, but the beam isn't smooth when in flood mode. It has a darker center than on the edge of the beam. It has a dimmer switch like your headlamp, and that works nicely.

If they were able to make the battery case waterproof and the button easier to locate it would be a much better overall headlamp, but as it is right now I wouldn't recommend it.
