I just got my SOB 1000 today and was ready to start soldering, but noticed a small notification that said the board should be tested before final usage and said to got to the shoppe for more info. Well, I think I looked everywhere on the shoppe, but I can't find anything about how to test my new driver. So, just how am I supposed to test it?

I keep old LED's mounted to heatsinks for this purpose. I solder the leads to the wires that I have permanently attached to the LED, and test it with a cell and alligator clip.

You will want to find out if the driver works before you build with it, rather than after. Resist the temptation to twist the wires together. An open circuit will kill many driver boards.

Can you go into more detail about how you test a new driver? I think I have a vague understanding of you your post, but I like to hear more to make it clearer.
