I have been looking for some RCR123's that I can use in my TLR-2 from Streamlight.

I'm not sure if I need protected cells, or what mAH ratings I need for this function.

I have a Pila charger and would like batteries that I could charge on that charger.

I have been searching the forums, and quite frankly, I've been getting a headache trying to decipher the techno-talk and just figured I'd ask the question outright and be done with it.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks.

I use an AW 17650 in my Streamlight LED Scorpion. I have two and it appears just a bright running on a single 17650 as it does on two primaries. The 17650 might fit in your TLR-2 and would give you longer runtime without the risk of burning out your LED. The Scorpion needed a button top battery to work as did Super Tac.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the idea, but the TLR-2 uses CR123's side by side, so the 17650's won't work.

Is it LifePO4 rechargables that have 3.2 ish volts instead of the 4.2V for LiCO? Not sure if a TLR-2 can handle the 8.4 volts from 2 RCR123's and I'm not brave enough to try it.

Search for the safe chemistry batteries because I believe they have similiar voltages of primaries and may work without :poof: your weapon light..

I'd rather have primaries in it anyway for simplicity on a light like this for gun usage. This may also be why you cant find any info on it, because no ones doing it.
