Wow, looks like I missed quite a hurrah in being away for a few days.
Lots of fat to chew here which is good because im at work. Thanks for all the input FlashKat and Howecollc and the rest of you that chimed in as well.
Ill take a look at the AW's and IMR cells. For my own edification; I...
So then AW protected RCR123's will in fact fit into the E2D tube? Are they generally rated as good batteries? Ive got a couple of SF lights that they could potentially wind up in (G2/6P/M3 etc.
And im assuming that they are only available from the CPF marketplace?
I ordered it about 2 weeks ago along with a new HO-M3 bulb for my SF M3-CB.
It finally arrived yesterday and i put it into my SF E2D, put in a fresh set of CR-123's, clicked it on and to say I was unimpressed would be an understatement. To my eye, it wasnt any brighter or warmer that the SF 65...
Thank you for the clarification RobertM- much appreciated. Im assuming that I could run my E2D with a single 17670 as well?
Is there a certain brand of 17670's (among those for sale at DX) out there that are highly regarded?
Good Morning All-
Ive got an SF G2 & 6P that are about to start sporting new R2 lamps(DX SKU.11836) and an E2D which will soon be playing host to an LF 150lm lamp module from LF.
Im wondering what the advantages or disadvantages would be in running cr123/rcr123's vs. running 18650's in these...
Ill definetly consider both flashlights you suggested BlueBeam, thank you.
Does anybody have any input or opinion on the numerous SSC P7 lights from DX that claim to put out "900 lumens"?
I know theyre probably not even close to that but wondering if there is a good quality throw monster in...
Not neccesarilly looking for something "pocketable" but a little bit bigger in size than my SF M3-CB with more lumens and more throw. Something between my M3 and my (2) D Cell maglite would be ideal.
Ive already got an E2D, G2 and as earlier stated, the M3 but dont have anything in the...
Il have to check that out BlueBeam; might be a nice truck light if for nothing else but would still like to hear some other suggestions on more "transport-able: torches.
All-
Im Looking for the best sub $50 light/bulb/battery combo from DX for a spotlight/throw monster combo with a premium on throw and not spill.
It seems like alot of you guys/gals reccomend the WF-500/ AW batts/ Lumens Factory 630lm Bulb combo which looks pretty good.
It seems like most...

Thats a fair question but I dont use my ar's for "home" defense as it were. I have a Kimber Warrior with an X300 and a Remington 870 w/ a 65 lumen SF 618FA on it for that purpose. Im not a big believer in using a centerfire rifle for home defense.
I do occasionally partake in outdoor...
If only I had another Host for it, I probably would
It took a boat load of restraint not to pick up one of those P7 Seraph heads that LF has after I tripped onto a review of them last night.
@ $20-$25 for one of the LF M series bulbs, I feel like im walking away with a pretty good...
I should have known
Looks like Ill have to decide between the EO-M3 or HO-M3.
It seem's like most of you who have been kind enough to offer your input like the HO @320Lm over the EO@ 380Lm. Ill take that on good authority and let you know what I pick up tonight when I get home from...
Runtime is probably a second or third consideration behind brightness as this will primarily be a weaponlight not a general purpose hiking/walking light. Im looking for as much light as possible on this one without respect to battery runtime.
Would the EO-3T OR HO-M6R drop right into my M3-CB...
Thanks for the inoput guys, looks like I will go with the LF lamps that I was looking at.
Gauging your responses, I will assume that the 2 bulbs that I listed would be considered "drop-in" parts?
