    Hi Guys, I'm still using the XM-3 regularly, but I'm thinking of giving it a boost. If possible I would like to swap the emitter only, but if it's not to hard any driver recommendations are also welcome. Is Cree the way to go, or are there beter (brighter) alternatives?

    Received mine today, charging as we speak. Tried it for a minute in day-light and damn this sucker is bright :D A little larger than I expected though, I guess I have to learn to live with that :D

    You have to solder the wires from the ballast to the switch. The switch assembly needs to be cut down.
