KLARUS S1 Ti-Scal RELEASE - A NEW TITANIUM NANO X-CHANGE BLADE FOLDING KNIFE

I think it is important to note that the "locking mechanism" is actually just a detent. There is nothing except some spring pressure to keep the knife from accidentally closing. That is probably enough for a knife of this type, but calling it a "locking mechanism" is misleading.

Help with repair of a Veleno Quanum D2?

I have what I hope is a simple problem, but I could really use some advice. I've had a Veleno Quanum D2 for quite a while. It has seen a lot of carry, but very little use, since it has always been my backup. It probably hadn't been opened in more than a year. Last night I dropped the battery...

    Nitecore D10/D20/EX10 Registry part 2

    I just received a D10 R2 with serial number 000242. I think it's going to replace the EX10 Q5 that's been my EDC. --Bob Q

    LEDs vs. shotgun recoil

I replaced the front grip on my Remington 870 with a Surefire 618 as soon as I got it home. My wife and I put at least a hundred rounds through it (mostly #4 buck and some slugs) before I swapped the P60 out for a P61. That was in use for several years, and at least a thousand rounds. A...

    Pila GL3 LED Replacements?

I know that Pila sells an LED module for the GL3, but it is only 120 lumens and appears to be unregulated. Does anyone know whether there is a brighter and/or regulated LED module that will fit the GL3? I would love to upgrade mine. I've installed Cree Q5 modules in my Surefires and now my...

    Arc-AAA Pre-order

[ QUOTE ] Gransee said: Planned accessories: Spyderco knives, LEDs. Any recommendations on a popular Spyderco knife? Looking at the Jester for one. [/ QUOTE ] The Jester is probably the perfect choice for a small light/small knife combo. My other suggestion would be the Kiwi in stainless...

    Pila G3 and surefire P91

[ QUOTE ] Lightedge said:The momentary "on" button can't even be depressed with one of these lamps in place. [/ QUOTE ] Okay, that really puzzles me. The tailcap switch is inside the tailcap and not mechanically subject to pressure from the battery compartment at all. I don't see how...

    Pila G3 and surefire P91

[ QUOTE ] Lightedge said: I guess my question is do you lose the momentary on functionality of the GL3 with this mod? I've tried it with several P90/P91's with the same result. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know how to explain the problem you're having. Mine still works normally with the modified P91 in...

Arc Flashlight Going Out of Business

My first decent flashlight was an Arc AAA Limited Edition, bought back when they were first produced. I have carried it every day since and it has never failed me. My wife carries one too, and so do several of my friends. In fact, I don't know of anyone who owns one and doesn't carry it. My...

    Milky's mod of my LS

Re: Milky\'s mod of my LS Now that it's been a few weeks I wanted to post a follow up... ...but I can't really add anything except more lavish praise. Milky hit it out of the park with this one! The light has performed flawlessly with daily carry and frequent use. On high it's bright...

    small powerful belt clip light?

[ QUOTE ] pjandyho said: llvo, don't mind me saying this, like you I love my 225 lumens M3 too but that may not be everybody's cup of tea. I find that it is sometimes too bright. I like my KL1 on my E1e anytime for general use. [/ QUOTE ] The Pila GL3 sounds like a perfect solution for this...

Last ditch long runtime backup light

I used to carry a Photon II in red for just this purpose. It was listed at 120 hours of runtime. These days I carry a Photon Freedom in white and figure that I can set it on low if I need a lot of endurance. Has anyone done any actual runtime tests on the Photon Freedom yet? They claim 10-12...

I want to replace an old "camping lantern"

Re: I want to replace an old \"camping lantern\" I did get the larger flourescent version of the Energizer Folding Lantern too. I think I'm pretty well equipped. Now I'm trying to decide whether I want to replace that G2 in my car pack with a Twin-Task 2L... Or maybe the TT2 is what I need...
