I read that you've been wanting to use 3 AA batteries in the ultrafrire W200 together with a cree XPG.
Did you ever try this?
did it work?
alkaline or NiMh?
I'm thinking of trying this too, maybe add a 1ohm 2W resistor to be cautious, but if you already tried it, you could provide some info.
