Olight M20S Current Controlled or PWM like M30?

I owned a M20S for about 2 hours one time. I noticed the PWM in the low and medium modes (low was pretty easy to spot, had to shake it to see in medium) and immediately made arrangements with the place I bought it to exchange for the normal version. It appears that the M20S uses the same...

    razor blade or electric shaver?

Blades all the way. I tried the electric shavers for a while (my dad used a Norelco for as long as I can remember) but it seemed to take forever to get a mediocre shave. No electric I tried, neither rotary nor reciprocating, would get into the jawline and neck hollows - they all left me with 5...

    My second Surefire...

Got my E2DL back today - looks like they just replaced the head and boxed it right back up and sent it home. This one is perfectly centered, and has a better tint than the original - just all around better. I gotta give it to Surefire, they turned it around QUICK - they couldn't have had it for...

Which reveals more? Quark aa^2 in NEUTRAL or COOL white?

This is also why I've stopped purchasing XP-G lights for a while. I've got a several of them in cool whites as well as a few of the Quarks in neutral and with a couple of exceptions they seem to run more or less to the greenish tint side. I actually prefer the more mature XR-E line as they...

    Quark Regular v. Tactical v. Nitecore D10

I don't know if this will help or cause confusion, but I will try to give a decent answer based on the models I have. The SC50 is very similar to the D10SP warm Q3 (XR-E) model, except that it has a smoother beam profile with no Cree rings. It has a little more throw than an XP-G model Quark...

Which Fenix flashlight do you have ?

TK12 R2 version w/ 18650 tube - Perfect white tint, great beam profile. Unfortunately Fenix seems to be "upgrading" all their lights to XP-G emitters so it may be a while before I get another one. I generally don't like XP-G lights (for several reasons, and there are exceptions) so I'm limited...

    Quark Regular v. Tactical v. Nitecore D10

I have all the lights mentioned above (in one or more forms) plus some others. I know its probably already to late, but for a 1xAA EDC light its awful hard to beat the Zebralight SC50. All 3 levels are just a click (or click-hold) away and each has a secondary level available. For a short...

    A newbie's perspective: Romisen RC-N3 WW vs. Jetbeam Jet-I Pro EX v. 3.0

The EX uses the same head as the 1xAA version - the input voltage range listed on Jetbeam's product page is 0.7V-4.2V. Don't use 2x14500 (that's 8.4V fresh off the charger) or :poof: :fail:

    A newbie's perspective: Romisen RC-N3 WW vs. Jetbeam Jet-I Pro EX v. 3.0

For another excellent 2xAA option in this range check out the Eagletac P100A2. I recently picked one of these up in the neutral Q4 config and am very impressed. It uses an SMO reflector for good throw and an XP-E emitter for a nicer beam profile. Nice simple two-mode interface like the...

Did Jetbeam stop making the Jet-II ?

It appears that the RRT-0 is their only remaining 1xCR123a light. Maybe somebody knows if there is an I.B.S. line replacement for the Jet-II in the pipeline? The Jet-I heads would work with 1xCR123a if they would make a body tube for it.

    My second Surefire...

I really like the E2L-AA. I have quite a few 2xAA lights so I wasn't sure if I needed another one, but the lure of Surefire and the uniqueness of the 2xAA model amongst their offerings finally got the best of me. I find myself reaching for the E2L-AA more than any of my others just because of...

    My second Surefire...

...just arrived this morning - an E2DL. I like my first one, an E2L-AA, so much that I had to get one of the uber-bright Surefires so I ordered the E2DL. I'm very impressed with the build on both lights, Surefire has the best knurling I've ever held, and they are very solid feeling lights...

    AW R18650 2200mAH question

The AW 2200mAh cells have a button top and therefore will work in the T20C2 mkII. However the Eagletac 18650 cells have a rated capacity of 2400mAh so you'll actually be giving up a bit of capacity by going with the 2200mAh cell. Of course, AW cells are generally regarded as the best available...

    Eagletac vs eagletac

Both the T20C2 mkII and the P20C2 mkII use replaceable drop-in modules instead of swappable reflectors. You can get the modules for the T20C2 mkII from a lot of places, but the only place I know of right now that you can get individual modules for the P20C2 mkII is IlluminationGear.com.
