    Need help with finding a dive/waterproof light

    Check out a intova dive light,2 123 batts,solid alum body,the new ones have a cree p-4 led in them. I have been diving with mine for over a year,love it.

    35W homemade HID xenon spotlight mod finished!

    They make some 6 amp sla batteries the same size as the 4 amp ones,hard to find though,I have a few around here I scrounged up for a dive light project I was working on. Nice hid project,I might have to try one of those.:thumbsup:

    D Mag mod dive light

    I would use different leds,either cree q5 or better or a single ssc p-7,which I used in my cannister light. I ran mine direct drive off two 6.6 amp amp 3.7 volt lithium ion battery pack wired in parallel,have not done a burn test yet but should last 4+ hours.

    P7 Battery Advice

    I have mine set up using 3 nmh c cells in a 2 d light,had to cut the spring shorter and cut a piece of pvc for a sleeve for the narrower c cell batts.I have been happy with the set up,very reliable with good burn times.

    My P7 Dive Light

    still working on mine,just finished up the cannister,it is up and running just need to waterproof the glands and come up with a switch for it.What did you use for yours? I cant decide wether to use toggle or go with a magnetic switch.

    I am in the process of building a cannister dive light using a maglight and a p-7 led,I have the light up and running,now I need to build my cannister. I would like to use a 3 cell battery holder wired in parallel to fit in a compact cannister I can mount to my arm,but have had no luck...

    DIY Waterproofing?

    there are several small bright divelights that would suit your needs.oxycheq raider 2-123 batts q-5,i think led for about 60 dollars,also intova makes a nice one about the same size with a luxeon led or a older cree chip,I got the luxeon one delivered to the house for about 35.00 dollars.

    I have been using a intova dive light lately,Luxon led,2 123 batterys,magnetic switch. it seems like a well made light and very bright especially for under 50 dollars.oxyecheck is making some with cree leds in them that people are raving about for about 80 dollars,I think they are new cree bins...

    it is a 123 powered luxeon light,I might just take it diving and if it floods it would be a great escuse to upgrade the chip.

    Does anyone else own this light? I have had one for a month or so,my first ho light,it has worked very well for me and throws a nice beam a long distance.It is claimed to be waterproof but I am not sure what depth it is good for if any,it is o ring sealed everywhere it need to be,I might take it...
