    Sold/Expired looking for: warm white or equiv bin P7 or MCE LED

    just a shot in the dark, looking to make a light that will be used outside, in the trees, and the yellow tint will be needed instead of the pure white or blueish tint, makes colors and shadows hard to pick out and distinguish objects..... i want it warm, warm white, or whatever you call it...

    hey yeah i remember seeing that thread before, i think the 6x setup would fit inside a 3inch pvc real nice. but i dont know how the extra voltage would alter the outcome between the LED and driver.

    nah i just wear the batt canister on a belt, usually inside a pouch that sewn to a belt, and the light part is either draped over one shoulder or in the winter, i run it up the back side of my jacket, and out the collar, and let it hang.... some folks wear the bump caps, but i cant really stand...

    the reason i say "sort of" is because the light i want to build is essentially the same concept that you guys have. that is, to have a head on one end, and a battery housing on the other, with the wiring in between. this light will be for coon hunting, and pretty much modeled after the belt...

    i didnt see where it said, but is it a multi mode driver? 100% light out of that would turn the head of even the most curious raccoon, haha. i need them to look at me so i can see their eyes, LED's show eye reflection way better than incans for some reason.

    ah ok so your familiar with K lights? yeah i think the driver from DW will get me a 100/70/25/5 mode, so most of the shining will be done on the 70/25 setting.... the 100% setting would be just for shining far away, or to make folks jealous, haha.

    ok im trying to talk to dw about any kits he may have that would fit the bill for this build. so far ive got the LED, batterys, and housing picked out. dw's heatsink and driver will flesh out the rest, along with any reflector he might suggest or one i can get on my own, including the lens...

    we mainly hunt them for sport, although we do give the meat to folks that both sell the pelt and BBQ the meat...they are just too fatty for me to eat, too greasy, as long as there is pork on the planet, i aint eatin no coon. haha about the coons on dogs, there is really a steep learning curve...

    the labeling says its pure white, but i guess you and others agree that they are in fact more yellow than other pure white p7's? am i wasting my time looking for a warm P7? they that rare?

    found these, but i have no idea which brands are cheap or good quality. these are LG's. ~3 hours at 100% is plenty. im not even sure those incan coon lights, even the 21 and 28v lights go that long on full blast.... they spill a lot also, those wheat style heads arent the best reflectors.

    haha seen this on one of the comments "Cons: I don´t like this color, This LED don´t like pure white common LEDs, like a little bit yellow." so yeah your right its def a warmer non white color. is there much difference in performance or availability between these and those warm MC-E's?
