UltraFire B3 Luxeon PWT Flashlight (AAA) $9.95

Re: UltraFire B3 Luxeon Rebel Flashlight (AAA) $9.95 The same discussion has started in the DX forums. It doesn't look promising. -Gary

    ~Update: Ultrafire w/o Rebel LEDs

Re: ~Ultrafire w/ Rebel LEDs DX hasn't commented on the B2's emitter, but whoever did the review is speculating that it might be a Rebel: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2958 -Gary

    Victorinox Night Vision II

Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper tweezers? Cool. I thought I was the only one with a pair of those. Did you get them from Lee Valley? -Gary

    Dexlight X.V (C-LE alike, $23.95 shipped)

It needs the foam donut (included) to keep the battery from rattling. I assume that goes in on the +ve side? No? Thanks, -Gary

    HELP! Fenix P2D holster options?

I did the same thing. I used to use a carabiner 'till I noticed that it had a loop. Now I hang a tritium vile from the plastic ring and can find the thing in the dark. -Gary

POWER: (batts, cables, inverters, chargers) Show your Setup.

Okay, John has inspired me to clean up my mess. I stole the clamp idea and attached the charger, power supply and clamp to a piece of plywood. Voila (here comes my first attempt at including a picture): It seems to work well, but obviously needs to have the leads shortened a little. -Gary

POWER: (batts, cables, inverters, chargers) Show your Setup.

So, he clamp holds them in a stack? That's clever! I've been charging at 0.1C. The Triton seems to top at 4.2V, where I would have been a bit more comfortable at 4.1. So i figured I'd be extra gentle on my batteries during the initial-charge phase. Probably doesn't help them any, but makes me...

POWER: (batts, cables, inverters, chargers) Show your Setup.

I've got the same Triton charger. Used mostly for electric planes. Now I want to use it for charging Li's (123A's, 14500's, etc.), but I never know what sort of current to use, so I just charge them slowly. Any suggestions as to currents for different batteries? Where to find numbers? Also...

TerraLUX MiniStar2 EXTREME SSC P4 U-bin LED upgrade for AA MiniMag Maglites TLE-5EX

Re: TerraLUX MiniStar2 EXTREME SSC P4 U-bin LED upgrade for AA MiniMag Maglites TLE-5EX I've got a MM with one of these BHC mods. So, it has a large, aluminum reflector (MCR-27L), that could take a log of heat, if necessary. I've been looking for a worthy upgrade for it, but so far, just the...

What metal reflectors fit in a MINI Maglite? How about ceramic bipin slugs?

Ya, I've been wanting to make a MM hotwire for some time. I have a nice metal reflector and glass lens (all from one of those Big Head Conversions). All I really need out of the AuroraLite kit is the ceramic socket and, like you say, it's been out of stock for ever! -Gary

    Laserpointer for professional presentations

Hmmm. I was hoping someone here would know where to buy them. They look like a squarish, plastic laser pointer. They can be set to produce a line (some sort of diffraction thing, I think). There's also a little swithch that turns on a motor (feels kinda like those Gillette M3Power razors when...

    Laserpointer for professional presentations

I use a 5mW greenie. It works well, but I find that the colour is a little less contrasty than the (dimmer) red lasers. In Japan I've seen some red ones with little motors in them that spin the diode to produce a donut of adjustable diameter. The non-pinpoint size makes them pretty...

Who is still buying LED upgrade kits for the MiniMag?

I'm looking for light output. I don't care about runtime and even cost for this one is kinda irrelevant (I've already got a BHC for it). So I deffinately want something brighter than a stock MM-LED. What's the winner conversion? A Nexgen 750 UX1L Sandwich (which never seems to be in stock)...
