    G-shock Tough solar problem

I've had a Casio Triple Sensor Tough Solar watch for about a year now, with NO problems. I had a Casio G-Shock GW-300 Tough Solar for about 6 months and never had a problem with it either, (aside from the strap being alittle too short for my large wrist). As mentioned before, the BEST way to...

    SLR film camera help

Re: SLR film camera help [ QUOTE ] chmsam said: If they'll let you at the camera shop, shoot a short roll of film in each camera. Take pictures under different lighting, but try to copy the shots with both/all cameras. You'll be able to see what each camera can do, find out how they handle...

    SLR film camera help

Re: SLR film camera help I have a pair of Canon EOS Elan IIe, along with a bag-full of lenses and flash units...Canon IS the way to go. I had used Nikons for YEARS (from F2's to 8008s), but there are features of the Canons that Nikon just didn't offer.

    Knife sharpener recommendations?

Unless the edge-angle of the knives that you want to sharpen matches-up with one of the 2 angles that the Sharpmaker provides, you'd be much better off with something like a Smith's Tri-Hone benchstone, and taking the time to learn to use it.

    BM 710 vs. Spyderco Military

Keep in mind that the Spyderco "Military" isn't very "lefty-friendly", where the Benchmade 710 is TOTALLY ambidextrious...So, if you think that you might want to ever carry the one you choose in your left front pocket, go with the 710.

    Best outdoor knife?

As has been mentioned already, get a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian...The 556 is a very nice little folder that doesn't LOOK like a "combat weapon"...(Esp. if you get one with a purple, blue, or yellow handle.).

    request recommendations

Although it's alittle longer than 7" (it's 9"), the Streamlight Twin Task 3C is pretty much the one to get. If you are looking for one to carry, the Streamlight Twin Task 2L is one to take a look at (eventho' it uses the 123 lithium batteries).

    Recommend a Headlamp

I dunno about waterPROOF, but Streamlight makes a pretty nice pair of headlamps that are waterRESISTANT...The Trident and the Septor.

    Flashlights for self defense

Guns? I thought this was about flashlights? (So, I guess I won't mention my 10mm Glock model 20, loaded with 16 rounds of 155 grain Federal JHPs that I keep "handy".). As far as a flashlight as a "weapon" goes, I also have one of those monster D-cell Mag-Lites (mine holds 6 batteries!!), and...

    Need Help Buying Digital Camera

SOG twitch II, or something else?

How about a Benchmade 310 Benchmite?...Blue titanium scales, 154CM steel, 2.85 closed-length...It might be alittle smaller than what you are looking for, but it is one of those big small folders.

What Kind of Flashlights do you have most of?

    Which one next?

Yup...Get the TT 3C...That is also going to be MY next flashlight purchase, to supplement MY TT 2L, as my "bedside flashlight".

    Need Streamlight Comparison

Get the Twin Task. I have one of the smaller (2L TT) versions, and I'm VERY pleased with it, and I'm thinking that the 3C Twin Task will be my next flashlight purchase.
