SOG twitch II, or something else?

Well, the folder bug is biting again, and I'm looking for something with metal scales, 3.25 to 3.5" closed length, with a fairly straight cutting edge. Yes, the Chris Reeves SeBenza is really cool, but about 3-5 times my budget ;-)

I've looked at the SOG twitch II, and it's pretty nice, but I'm wondering what else I can find...

I've also looked at the CKRT KISS, which I can get without serrations (not crazy about serrations), but I don't really care for the lock. Also, the knife being "one-sided" is neat, but a little creepy at the same time.

I also checked out the Kershaw Ken Onion designs, but I don't really care for the opener lock - I was told it's supposed to engage automatically when you stuff it in a pocket, but I'm not sure. Having had a two-blade Kershaw liner lock open in my pocket I get a little nervous about these things opening on their own.

What else should I look at/for?

Thanks!

How about a Benchmade 310 Benchmite?...Blue titanium scales, 154CM steel, 2.85 closed-length...It might be alittle smaller than what you are looking for, but it is one of those big small folders.

Glockman99 - if that is one where the lock is on the scale, and you have to press to open and to shut, then I saw that one too today. Very nice knife, it was about $110, which was more than I'm prepared to spend. The only problem I had with it was the lack of a clip. Gotta have a clip.

I'd say the benchmade 705...but it's out of your price range if the benchmite is out of your price range and it doesn't have metal scales.

However, the twitch is a pretty fun little knife. I like the speed assist on the kershaws better, but I like the opener lock on the twitch better.

I EDC'd a twitch for a while, and it's still in the rotation, but I like my 705 better. The axis lock is great and the knife feels better built than the twitch (it should, it costs twice as much).

Another possibility although it may not work if you're set on metal scales is the Benchmade griptilian or mini griptilian. They cost less than the benchmite, and are really nice.

If you're set on the metal scales, don't like the kershaw's blade opening lock, and want something around $60 I say go for the twitch.
