    Appreciated - i now know what to look for. there does seem to be quite a range in luminous flux - Cree X series is very high, where as some of the other 5050 chip and as you refer to non-white are dramatic...

    LED Questions, I am seeking information regarding LED chip. In short I am seeking to get 10-12W of light from the LED. I was researching and found some Cree 5050 SMD which claim to have 10 W from a single chip. Is this correct if not what are the options and best SMD for a automative application ?

    Hi Forum, Looking at a single RGBW chip 10-18w (not strip) for an application where I need 90% of the time I need white light. Is a RGBW white light rated at X watt the same output as a pure white LED of the same rating? ( or is the RGBW chip larger as a result?) - am I better just getting...
