Are the Petzl lights very good?

I suppose Im a little late on this one but I have used a Petzl for years at work. They usually get stolen or lost before they stop working. In fact I have never heard of one failing at work and we go thorough hundreds per year. Not one has been replaced due to it breaking down or because of...

Head Lamp Brightest with no external battery pack

I have seen those on ebay and I seen one similar in real life. Build quality was something to be desired and was rather flimsey. CR123 batteries are expensive in Australia and AA are easy to get BUT having said that I dont have a preference for battery or if its regulated but if it was regulated...

Head Lamp Brightest with no external battery pack

What is the brightest headlamp you can get without an external battery pack. I looked at the Petzl MYO but it has a pack on the back of the band. I also looked at the LED Lenser ones as well. I need something with a spot and a tiny bit of flood if you know what I mean. Thanks in advance. David

    attn Miners & Cavers

Try working in the returns of an underground mine. Temps get that high you can hardly breathe and the sweat stops after a while as the air sucks it up as it hits the surface of your skin. Not nice at all. mulder89

I need a new soldering iron

I use a gas powered Weller soldering iron BUT it does "Blow" hot air whilst operating and is not the best for small jobs or very small soldering on PCB boards. You can do it but its not easy. Its temp is adjustable and you get well over 1 hour from normal butane. If you require electric you cant...

I went to post this in the Flashlight review section but was denied and couldn't so here it is here. They say that first impressions are lasting ones and with the Olight T20-T Q5 its all good. From the moment you first hold the light you can tell the build quality is excellent. When taking the...

Best Shock Proof LED Flash Light?

Heaps of abuse! Continual dripping to the ground, kicked and thrown. Has anyone any experience with the Energiser Case series? Suppose to take the punishment and a 30 foot drop. One led and 2 AA batteries. I can get those here or suggest them to him. mulder89
