Laws on laser pointers in Australia explained

Re: Laws on laser pointers in USA I think there's a lot of confusion in the USA still.. and much of the problem is exasperated by false impressions by both Customs and the different variations of the law from State To State. I was informed a couple of years ago that even with various safety...

    200mW green keychain buddy

Eep! Last time I pointed just a 'measly' 100mW laser at a flat screen, the LCD pixels were damaged. Congrats on the mini monster though! Very impressive at the output you have.

Laws on laser pointers in Australia explained

I've reconfirmed current laws at the time of this posting and New South Wales is still self-regulated in relation to lasers. This means that a person may indeed import a laser of any type for their own use but if it is battery powered and therefore portable, it may not be resold or advertised...

Wicked Lasers vs Other and no brands

Re: WL giving an Average Output rather than Peak Output, that's correct. A 75mW should be ouptutting very close to the stated amount. Same with lesser and higher outputs. In fact, I think ALL lasers, regardless of the seller and maker, are supposed to show the correct output for safety...

My first green laser pointer- very happy with it!

I found Z-Bolt hard to deal with some time back. Unanswered emails and of those which eventually were responded to there was a feeling of a reluctance to assist. My opinion at the time was that they ordered their lasers in bulk and were waiting to complete a bulk number large enough for them to...

    HomeBrew "laser tatto removal"

Skin treatment lasers and Tattoo removal lasers are pulsed. They tend to use a visible red diode laser to act as a targeting device (sometimes concentric circles are drawn by the targeting laser) . The operator then triggers the main (pigment targeting) laser. This heats the pigment under the...

    Wicked's Photonic Disruptor - Reviewed

I've seen a few Wicked lasers held by ground troops in Iraq in recent years and used as deterrents and literally as pointers. Road flares were standard fare along with warning shots where possible...even now. You are correct in that the locals just open up their engines when trying to get...

    Wicked's Photonic Disruptor - Reviewed

It's a 100mW Water-Sealed (for exposure and minimum immersion) green 532nm laser with a diffusion-to-focused aperture cap. You can take it to the jungle and use it to signal your rescuers if you get lost. Or you can take it out to sea and signal a passing ship as you float amongst the pitiful...

    Wicked's Photonic Disruptor - Reviewed

I'm working with a couple here. You can widen the beam or narrow it with a threaded and sealed outer lens element. It burns up close in BOTH modes so you still need to show caution. I posted some images last week but will be running out some recaps shortly and will be testing the units in an...

I want to by a Presentation Green Laser Pointer - which one?

LOL! I'd hoped someone would send me an orange for review since I could then photograph the full spectrum of available laser colors together (in the pen sized range) but I prefer companies to send me items they prefer to have examined and/or photographed rather than what I would personally like...

I want to by a Presentation Green Laser Pointer - which one?

Sorry 'greenLED', I was trying to say that the eye sees green laser light as a 'brighter' wavelength than blue. But because of the rarity of blue lasers (especially as pointers), I get a lot of people running up to me to find out more about it. '1 what': The laser is a review model sent to...

    Novalaser or Dragon laser?

MODS: A bunch of former members of 'another forum' and partners in crime in another... chewing the fat here as if they've never met before. Banned for bad behavior elsewhere. The goal of this thread is to 'down' their competition with negative feedback via Google searches. I know because I...

    What is a "fake" laser?

I was sent two laser from TL to test and review. I think they're nicely made actually. If they're 'clones' or so called 'fakes', they must have cost someone a lot of money in machining cases, high-end diodes, optics and parts as well as different wavelengths. Even in low-cost China. CNI have...

I want to by a Presentation Green Laser Pointer - which one?

You requested information on a Green pointer which I replied to earlier in this thread. I've been using a green for my own lectures and public presentations until a few weeks ago and then tried one of the blue 5mW pointers with very good results. The public really seemed to respond to the...

TITAN Laser 350mW - Pics with Preview

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoN4qg2hHQo Had to YouTube it because my photo-webpages don't accept videos. No burning (for a change)... just a little classical music whilst it's operating in front of the camera. If you want to see some burning, I should have something interesting...
