My year and half old C-LE's driver took a dump a week ago. I tried to turn it on and got nothing. Figured maybe it got turned on in my pocket and drained the battery. Popped in a fresh battery and still nothing. I played with it for a while and it finally came on but the UI is all screwed...
That makes more sense. I couldn't see the K2 taking that much voltage for very long.
Does an 18650 fit without boring out the barrel?
I would have figured the 352 to have a boost circuit in it (I've taken mine apart but haven't checked out the driver). Is this not the case?
Do you think the K2 will last long in place of the LuxV? My understanding is that the LuxV has a Vf of 6v+ where the K2 is around 3.75v.
I would have expected it to go :poof: on first use.
I'm looking to upgrade a light that currently runs a Cree P4 in direct drive using a single cr123a. It's incredibly bright using a rcr123a at 1.2amps but only draws 100ma when using primary 3v cells. I'd like a boost circuit that boosts the 3v primary to 3.6-4.0v and anywhere from 500 to 900...
I'm no expert but I just looked at both a genuine Luxeon 3 and 5 (from two of my Nuwai lights) and on both the word "Lumileds" is printed on the star, not done in solder on the star. This one is probably a knock-off.
From DealExtreme's description it looks like a genuine 5 watt Luxeon which should be pretty darn bright. It also appears to be direct drive. I would guess it might have a bad ground or a bad switch. Try leaving the tailcap off and grounding the bottom of the battery holder to the body of the...
Just bought one that was working intermittently; it was dimming out and flickering. It is not regulated, has a regulator board inside the head but no components on it. Since it was only $16 and I'd probably spend half that sending it back I decided to try and fix it myself. Seemed like...
