I'm looking to upgrade a light that currently runs a Cree P4 in direct drive using a single cr123a. It's incredibly bright using a rcr123a at 1.2amps but only draws 100ma when using primary 3v cells. I'd like a boost circuit that boosts the 3v primary to 3.6-4.0v and anywhere from 500 to 900 ma.
I've searched Google, DX, and the CPF forums but haven't come up with anything. I'm not a big fan of multi-modes but would consider it if it was the only thing I could find.
Any suggestions?
Oh, and the board needs to be 16mm diameter or less.
Thanks in advance,
Joel
