    Best LOOKING Flashlight ever !

Re: What is the Most Beautiful LED Flashlight? Welcome David to the world of custom flashlights and empty wallets. You say your Dad is a retired tool and die maker. Any chance you can show him some of your favorite lights along with this CPF website and maybe he could make you the light you...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

In this hobby is there really a "last flashlight"? I thought so several years ago and hadn't bought any in that time. An email from 4Sevens about the Preon Revo caught my attention. Nice looking like in my favored stainless steel and it would do service to replace my old Peak Matterhorn 3 led...

    Maratac AAA Q5 (Part 4)

I am very pleased with the three Maratacs I ordered and received last week. Somehow I was thinking the newest lights were now Low/Med/High but only the AA Maratac came that way with the AAA Nat. Al and bead blasted SS lights in the old Med/Low/High format. For me I think the old way works best...

    Got my Preon Revo today.

Both my and my brother's SS Revos are the same way but the beam doesn't seem to be affected. I'm very happy with my light which is the first new light I have bought in three years after having drifed away from flashlight collecting. After all, how many lights can one have or use? Since the...

Could one be made out of copper?

Aluminum Bronze would make a nice RAW. Still my favorite is my old nickel silver RAW with its smooth threads and nice heft. My other RAWS are aluminum, ti, and damascus. Great lights!

    I want one... Help

Abarth, Out of the 30 or so small LED lights I have it's the Raws that I use and love. Nickel Silver, Aluminum, Titanium, and Damascus. The Nickel Silver has, by far, the smoothest operation and I like the heft. The aluminum is lighter than I prefer. The titanium threads are a bit stiff but...

LUMENCRAFT - POLARIS (formerly EOS) - lots of renderings

V3s look like they are available: http://lumencraft.net/OnlineOrdering.htm It's the Polaris that seems to have never made it past the drawing stage.

    Lummi US distributer?

It's easy and painless to order a light direct from Rob (Lummi). I have four and will probably buy more unless he "fancies" them up too much. Sure, you will loose a percentage on the exchange rate but you probably will no matter where you exchange your money. I've ordered directly using...

    Raw Ti

A lot of variance in my RAWs to turn from just on low to high: RAW NS from 12 o'clock to 2. RAW Al- 12 to 7 RAW Ti (an older, coarse thread one)- 12 to 4 RAW Da- 12 to 1 as in 1/12th turn. I like that one. My RAW Al takes too much turning to high but, still, only a little over half...

Why CPF users don't buy more Peaks...

I have a 7 led Peak McKinley RGB. When turned on the LEDs are all red but soon change to blue and green and back to red, etc. It doesn't take long for some of the LEDs to lag others in the color change and then they are mostly out of sync. What you have is that each LED changes color and not...

    New 123 Lummi

Nickel silver is easy to machine while titanium is nasty and eats tools. Ti costs more, too. Thus the difference in price.

    New CR2 Raw.

On the contrary, I think aluminum bronze is very cost effective. I, too, have a CR2 Ion in that material and it's nice looking. "Aluminium bronzes are most valued for their higher strength and corrosion resistance as compared to other bronze alloys. Another notable property of aluminium...

    Raw AL keychain question

Lummi lights, at least the RAWs, don't have a lanyard 'hole'. More of a slot milled into the tail of the light- and a thin one at that.
