Ditto:
Gosh, just look at the runtimes... At about 17 lumens!
An ST25 or S15 Baton puts'em to shame...
Still OK for illuminating a remote with no backlight and you don't really have to worry about ruining your nightvision!
Cheers!
GREAT! Let's hope the OP (or somebody?) does a review on this new charger regarding this capability. It would pretty much fill the bill for my prospective use: an additional 1/2 hour on the phone would cover almost any situation I can readily envision!
Cheers!
I stand (sit, actually) corrected: maybe next best bet w/b the 2014 Nitecore 2-bay version @ $16. I know it works for both and does not take an inordinate amount of time to fully charge a pair of 18650's...
Cheers!
Xtar MC1 is a 1 bay unit USB unit that's typically under $10 and charges NiMh & lithium ions... Expect to find a 2 bay unit for about twice as much, but usually can run on 110, possibly 12v also with an accessory plug.
As opposed to actually re-charging a nearly depleted cellphone would this device not extend the run time? I think of those times, admittedly few & far between where there is little or no 110 or 12v available and it is time to make a call or two... What does it take in amps to power a non-...
An A14 (Yellow Nitrolon) to go with my new G3L + 3 X AA NiMH rechargables. Thinking about a 0.8-4.2v drop-in @ 320 (claimed?) lumens...
Heck, I might go all-the-way and use a 3.0-9v multi-mode with a clicky!
Cheers!
THANKS to vicv who answered a similar question on another post. I apparently misinterpreted the common manufacturer's warnings about using multiple (i.e. "stacked") protected li-Ion cells vs. "pack building".
So... 1st of all: THANKS to vicv! for the almost immediate response.
Based upon your post it appears I was misinterpreting the standard manufacturer's warnings about protected cells: one can safely use, for example 2 X 17500 protected cells instead of 3 X 123a primary cells with an appropriate...
OK, let me get this straight... It is safe to use two, stacked, protected Li-Ion 17500 3.7v batteries in place of 3X 123a primary batteries in a 3G Surefire (with a P60L 6-9v led dropin) or, for example, a Solarforce L2M with an 18650 extender and a 3.0-9v led drop-in? I know it would be OK to...
So... Using two protected 3.6v Li-Ion 17500 batteries stacked in a SureFire 3G (or, for another example, a SolarPower L2 Series light with a 1 X 123a Extender) that has a P60L (3-9v led) drop-in is a safe rechargeable alternative to using 3 X primary 123a batteries?
Thanks!
Thanks for the info: actually found a 0.8-4.2v CREE that seems to work just fine with a 3.0v rechargeable LiFePO4, a CR123A and, hopefully, with an AW 123A 3.7v and/or 4.2v 18650 (by adding a 1 X 123A-sized extender) once they arrive. Heck, probably will run OK on 2 X AA's with the 2 X 123A...
Have had the cells (30200 LiFeP04 750mAh) and the Tenergy charger using for a while in a camera, wondering if this is a reliable (vis-a-vis battery life) and SAFE! utilization in an older G2L (has metal bezel) + the tailcap from a 6P?
Thanks in advance for your kind consideration...
