    P60 bulbs brightness test

When I used P60 bulbs before, I always felt that the brightness of different P60s was somewhat different. After I purchased the light meter, finally had the opportunity to test it. I tested 10 surefire P60 bulbs with the same 6P body, the same batteries, and the same distance (very close)...

About the brightness drop of the tape switch

You can try the Olight Odin, which is significantly brighter than M600DF, and zero brightness drop with tape switch. The design of surefire tape switch is too old, it's time for update.

About the brightness drop of the tape switch

"As of August 2020, Surefire customer service says that the SR07 ST07 switch may not allow the M600DF to run at full brightness when using an 18650 cell." When I saw this statement, I decided to do a small test. Using my light meter, check how much the brightness will drop when using the tape...

Surefire 3-Volt LED Bezel with 16650 battery, will it affect LED life?

Thank you for your answer I sent an e-mail to surefire asking if the 3-volts LED bezel can use 16650 batteries, they responded as follows: "Should not cause any damage to Flashlights or LED units. Our LED flashlights are able to regulate the increase voltage of the battery." So I decided to...

Surefire 3-Volt LED Bezel with 16650 battery, will it affect LED life?

A fresh CR123A is about 3.2-volts, 16650's 4.2-volts are about 30% overvoltage. Can someone explain how overvoltage affects the life of the LED? Especially these 3V LED bezels. Because these 3V bezels with 16650 perform so well, it’s hard for me to give up.:sigh:

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

I have another P61 that has been in use for a long time, and it is still working, using SF CR123A batteries and XM switch. Unlike the P61 I just bought, it does not have a matte tip.

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

I don’t have any R30s, and there is a metal tag on the bulb mark clearly as "P61", won't be missed.

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

That thread is all about LED stuff. These P60 and P61 come with LU60 bezel kit, with a label on the packaging, and a metal label on the bulb, all of which are clearly marked "Surefire P60" or “Surefire P61”

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

Clicky switches are not as reliable as the twist switches. I have encountered the flickering problem of Z68 and XM weapon light switch. But when I burned the brand new P61, there was no flicker problem, it just a single flash and died. I have another P61 that has been in use for a long time...

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

These P60 and P61 are packaged with the lu60 bezel set, and the packaging has not been opened, so they are definitely not fakes. The two P61 behave the same: Unscrew the 6P bezel that I use every day, remove the P60, install a P61, click the switch, flash and die, change another P61, flash and...

Surefire 2-cell rechargeable for 6P classic?

Thank you for your warning, I have learned it. But I got other problems that bother me recently. I have burned several brand new P61s in succession, dead after just a flash. Using 2x surefire CR123A batteries. Is the P61 too fragile, or I did something wrong?

Brand new P61 bulbs burned out continuously

I recently bought some brand new unopened P61 and P60 bulbs. Those P60s are all very good, and they handle the 3.7V lithium battery and 2 CR123A batteries very well. But for P61, I unpacked two brand-new P61 bulbs and used 2 CR123A batteries. They burned out continuously and died after just a...

Surefire 2-cell rechargeable for 6P classic?

Yes. P90 with 2x16340 has a relatively short running time, but higher lumens. P60L with 2x16340 & P61 with 16650 have a long enough runtime but less lumens.
