    new PD30's beam normal?

I just got my PD30 and some batteries yesterday and the beam has a pretty noticeable dark cresent around the hotspot. I have a picture here and was wondering if this is something I should worry about and deal with (by sending it back to Fenix). Thanks everyone.

Ok, thanks. Its too bad that its normal. It would look a lot better if it was just smooth. Oh well, its still an amazing light.

My PD30 is "Out for delivery"!!!

Ok, so I went to Lowe's today and got their last pack of Surefire 123a's. :D However, my light seems to have a darkish shadow around the hotspot of the beam. Is this normal/something I should worry about? thanks

I know that they have some cosmetic differences and the Fenix website says that the PD30's reflector is "newly designed," but it doesn't say whats different about it...

    First flashlight - $60 limit

    1. Im probably just gonna use it as a general flashlight (around the house, at night in my car possibly, camping etc). 2. I don't think Ill need to carry it around with me all day, but I might every once in a while. 3/4. A clip/holster isn't necessary. 5. For batteries I would rather have to...
