    18650 dangers?

    So is it safe for me to use them with this flashlight? I guess it just means I have to be extra careful when I am charging them, and turn it off if the light starts to get noticeably dim? Cheers, Dan :)

    Hi, this is just a single cell light :) The batteries also have a small ring around the + terminal, I have thought that that would be protection? Cheers, Dan :)

    Hi, i've just received my flashlight from dealextreme, and I also forgot to order some 18650's with it. Now, I've recently pulled apart a laptop battery that has lost it's capacity, and it turns out it has like 12 18650's in it :D So i've extracted 2 of them, and they work in the light fine...

    Polishing reflector for better throw?

    Hey, it's SKU 15691 :) Going by the reviews, it looks like a nice light, especially for the price, though seems to have a large flood ;) Thanks for the idea's guys :) -Dan EDIT: Apparently this has a "Stippled Aluminium" reflector

    Alright then :) Is there any cheap alternatives to get a better throw (Apart from selling the light and getting one with better throw :P ) If not, I can deal with it, but it would be nice if I could increase the range slightly ;)

    Hey, I've just purchased a DX light. Reading a few of the reviews, apparently this thing has a very wide flood. A friend of mine on IRC told me that I can get better throw by polishing the reflector? Is this true? And if so, how should I go about it? This will be my first real "torch", so sorry...
