My New U2 Died
I tried the tail cap fix, nothing changed. I also checked the circuit with a multimeter and the tailcap is working perfect. I had just turned the light on to the highest setting and placed it down on it's side and about 10 seconds later it just turned off. The rattle comes from the head of the...- Tom_K

My New U2 Died
I bought a U2 about a month ago. Fantastic light but I was using it yesterday and it just stopped working and now I can't get it to switch back on. I tried different batteries (didn't change anything) and I can hear something rattling around in the head of the light. I think maybe a capacitor...- Tom_K

Mag85 Battery Question
Wait...scratch that reading. I told you this multimeter was old and complicated. The batteries read approx 1.35v each. So the 9 pack reads around 12.15v. It's an analogue meter so the readings aren't very accurate. So how can I get this voltage down to a level that isn't going to instaflash...- Tom_K

Mag85 Battery Question
I've finally got all my parts for a Mag85 and have just about completed charging all my 2400mAh batteries. I thought I would check the voltage on them before I put them in and my multimeter is showing just over 1.4v each. It is quite a complicated and old multimeter so it could be wrong, but...- Tom_K

D-cell Mags - need new reflectors and lenses
Try here for the reflectors, modamag might have some left. Shipping is only $5 to the UK I believe. For the smoothest beam you'll need to get a MOP (cammed if you still want to adjust the beam).- Tom_K

Re: \"New\" offerings at AmondoTech.com The Q3 Titanium looks more gray to me than silver. The one on the Amondotech site is probably a tiny bit darker than it is in real-life. To be honest mine doesn't look anything like the silver you see on the J2LED site- Tom_K
