I am looking for a direct diode, not DPSS, green laser pointer in the <5mW range. I know they must exist but the absolute sea of cheap, questionable DPSS pointers may be obscuring even my best search terms.

This is for a specific application, throwing a good visible line on a tabletop gaming surface. Handheld and battery powered are required.

Best I've found is eBay listings for the cheap generic pointer bodies that claim 515nm or 520nm. I'm not optimistic that they arrive as direct diode lasers.

Anyone know a source of reasonably priced direct diode green laser pointers?

The last part, line generating, a slip on or glue on lens would be fine, but being able to rotate it would be great.

Hello, and hope things are well! Seeing your name is a blast from the past.

Probably your best bet is to check out laserpointerforums dot com. Not as active as it used to be, but still helpful advice there.

Z-Bolt sells green direct diode lasers (it's their low-temperature variant), but it appears that their line variant is DPSS.
