What watch you're wearing?

That's a really fetching piece. I adore that dial.
Thanks, I did to when I saw it on eBay. It's another one that only folks allowed inside my 3 foot circle will notice it's not just a pretty face. I prefer a dial that doesn't yell across the room "look at me" but holds secrets only the wearer and those close by can see.

👆 One needs a dive watch in this heat. Not because it's under water but because the sweat and corrosion from the sweat.
Dew point 75? Yeah. It needs to have at least a high IP (Index of Perspiration) rating for that;-)
'Bout the only way I could feel even a little cool outside there was to get on my motorcycle.

I remember the humidity so high it would peel the chrome off bumpers.
Probably wasn't the humidity, but something caused peeling of the rubber sole off of one of my work-shoes. Was just hanging on by a small piece when I got out of my car to check the gates. Had to rip the rest of it off. Thankfully there's a molded plastic piece underneath. So, was able to do my job properly. Looks like I'm ordering new shoes online. (Yes, I do have an older pair I can wear until the new ones arrive.)

When I first started working around highways, when a semi would blow past there was usually a nice breeze for about 30 seconds. But some days the air would be so thick there was no breeze felt after one went past at interstate speed.

And at night, with a head lamp on.... geez, the droplets were so numerous it almost gave me a sense of drowning. I'd turn it off unless I really needed it.

100m resistant with all stainless case means hot weather watch. The bracelet is easy to keep clean too.

Crown came out of this beauty.
My first Luxury watch bought several years ago.
Yeah, the more money you pay, the more delicate the watch becomes.
Only a handful of so-called Luxury brands where that's not true.
Need to get it fixed. Love my B&M Clifton Club.
(Not my pic. but am using it with permission from the fellow member on Watchuseek.com who took the pic. of his.)

I've recently started acquiring tools and such to do some repairs myself.
My local guy retired, and everybody else who I have inquired with to do a simple crystal swap has quoted me an astronomical number. Local guy woulda done it for $45.

So, fine...whatever. I can get off cheaper buying all the tools and learning on some older watches I don't mind messing up.

Timex Marlin Charlie Brown edition on a solid stainless 7 row beads of rice.
The watch came with a Charlie Brown shirt striped nylon nato band but I soon put a vintage look suede band on it.

Not long ago I mistakenly ordered a stainless bor bracelet in 20mm instead of 18. Then while binge watching the show "wire" I saw all of those drug dealers wearing fancy bracelet watches...often way too big.

I got the idea to add some bling to the Timex. And so it was. It's one link too big to allow for summer wrist swell.

My new crack is Sportsmatics.
I acquired a nice old Seiko 5 and while looking for a bracelet saw the Sportsmatic's and was hooked right away. No date or date only is the preference.
oh my, those are great too.
It's a good thing I commonly avoid 36mm and below, vintage is not something I need to add to my list.
Really great looks though.
