007 run 5 differences

I've got the older 007. What are the differences between it and the newer one besides the led? I know about the following:

• 1400 high
• 4 memory slots
• different method of programming levels

Can each level be set from 0.1 to 1400 or are there limits like on my older version?



Currently I have my levels set at:

• 0.1
• 5
• 15
• 50
• 250
• 1250

With the new version could I set?

• 0.1
• 0.5
• 2
• 13
• 63
• 312
• 1400

There are no limits for each Position. So yes, you could set the six positions any way you want.

That extra flexibility in setting the levels is nice. I never appreciated the value of a low low until setting my Spy. As you probably saw I incorrectly listed 7 settings. Also my Spy isn't set quite a low a 0.1. It's a few levels higher but even then it's still much lower than the low low on my Zebralight H31w.

I am thinking about getting one of these lights. Is the programming complicated? I have seen some directions here on programming, but does it come with a manual as well?

No, there won't be a manual. Just print off the directions from the other thread. Looking at the youtube video for the Tri-V programming should help as well (although there are some differences).

I wrote user manuals for a living at my previous job. Buy yourself a copy of Help And Manual from EC Software; it costs a lot less than RoboHelp and it makes writing manuals SO much easier.

How about a post right here in this thread -- please -- on the steps necessary to raise or lower a given level in the new 007.
