Newly Enlightened
Back for a short spell for the holidays.. and gave a few fenixs and got one in return. Very nice little nightburner! Anyway, the holster, while adequate and well designed, does not offer the protection of a good leather 24-7 holster. So to match my trap inspection/setting (read: knife, pouch, various files, freezerwrap squares, leatherman) carryalls... made a nice little super durable holder for it.
No buttons, snaps, buckles to break or wear; 9 oz. dyed through leather; saddlestitched spectra 80 lb stitching x2 runs, soaked through with a neatsfoot/beeswax mix.
More or less a prototype without all of the edge finishing and rounding but effective nonetheless (hey, form follows function right?
)...
I'll be back around mid-Spring if anyone is interested in having holsters made for their lights in this format. Am always open to new and fresh ideas if anyone wants to collaborate!
FUTURE thoughts:
-battery loops for 1xaa, 1xaaa, 2xaa, 1xcr123a, and 2xcr123a
-swiveling belt loops to allow more freedom
-holes at the top and bottom to allow clicky switch activation and use without removing from holster
-horizontal carry, forward bezel, belt loop setup
