10W Luxeon k2 Led flashlight and 12W Luxeon K2 led flashlight that are being offered at All-Battery.Com. Is there such a led flashlight that really is 10-12 watts or is it just false advertisement?:thinking::thinking::thinking:
In my opinion it is pure BS of the smelliest type.
If you consider that Volts times Amps equal Watts then you might realize how bogus the claim is. Wattage is a power consumption value not a quantity of light output value. One example might go like this: to feed a twelve Watt load would require 6 Volts at 2 Amps. I doubt the flashlight in question can produce that much power for any usable period of time and still be safe. In general LEDs are driven at approx. 3.3 - 3.6 Volts at currents approx. 20 Ah to just a little over 1000 mA. There are exceptions, of course, but in general ten to twelve watts will destroy an LED as fast as a ten pound sledge hammer.
