I just ordered one of these babies! I can hardly wait!

Over 500 lumens in a package just 6 5/8 inches long.

Where, where, where?????? That would be the SHIZZIT of all SHIZZIT!!!!!

Look under the group buy section. By ufokillers. He's still taking pre-orders.

Must not be that important, someone would of posted a link by now. That or they are a poor salesman. I wanted photos and specs, not to mention a price. I have several mini mag lights, 3 at last count here and a few at my folks house.

WA Solarc HID

It isn't a MiniMag, its a mini-HID in a cut down 2D Maglite.

There are links to pictures and reviews. I ordered the Turn-key because I cant build this stuff myself very well.

I used the search feature, that user name does not seem to be valid, and a search for 10w mini mag brings up this thread

Thanks, did not see that before. Seems a bit out of my range. Ive just managed to accept spending 100 bucks for a light.

Get a 'D' powered flashlight. Some 3toD holders (3AA in a D size battery cartridge) and a powerful bulb. Inexpensive way, I think.

ex. 2D Maglite with holders will power a 9v bulb.

I asked about over driving lights in another thread, but it fell by the way side. I have plenty of h4 55 watt halogen bulbs from my lights on my wheelchair. It wouldnt take much to rig up a portable 12 volt solution with cr 123 batteries to make it small or use aa batteries like mentioned above with holders inside the tube of a D cell unit. Infact I think blinkmann made a 8 cell flashlight at one time, I have a 7 cell that you can take it apart to make it smaller and the tail cap has different size bulbs. I used it till the 2 cell bulb would go dim then start over.

I have several HID Flashlights but I am drooling eagerly awaiting my 10 watt 1 D size converted MAG ( I preordered a long time ago). This looks to be the smallest HID around. They have been built before and links on CPF to the site exist (With photos!). I think the cost may scare some but SureFire sells $392 lights about that size (M6). My UKE LC100 10 watt HID WA bulb light is a production unit availible for $168 from BrightGuy.com every day. A bit larger, it uses C cells and VERY waterproof. Compare in size- picture below in link.

My Lights

Dont get me wrong I like the idea, but I use my light off and on to spot check, so having to wait 30 seconds for it to come up to brightness would be a nag on me. I mainly use my blinkmann xl light and xpg to look under the hood, up under a truck or incase of a bucket van, inside the back and side. Maybe 5 minutes a day, off and on. I do this for fun during my breaks when I head out to the shop to use the rest room. I like looking at that type of equipment and need lots of light.

I also used the blinkmann till I got the xpg for reading small print. I used my xpg half an hour the other day to read 2 chapters and the day before my blinkmann xl to read over an instruction sheet on an assignment and my print off of the work.

30 second to come up to FULL brightness. You will get plenty of useable light in the first couple of seconds.

NikolaTesla,

I see you have the ACRO X990! Cool light! I see a lot of other nice ones in your gallery. You are a true flashaholic. I hope one day to have such a fine collection.

See this review. The original is in Japanese, so this is just an online translation from Babelfish.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I read that in the original thread. Man that is impressive. I need to sell a few trucks to get that in my budget. Thats how i splurged for the xpg and a box of batteries and a jon e handwarmer plus a few cans of fuel.
