123 cells

ok so i am a little confused with 123 cells they come in all different types of initialls "C", "CR", "DL", etc are these the same or different, i have come accross some 123 cells at battery station and they say their cells will fit all different 123 (the different initialls), is this optimum.

basically what im asking is can i run cr123's in the surefire M6 which specifies for DL123's without any difference?

AFAIK, they are all the same thing. CR123A=CR123=DL123.

What brand of batteries are you looking into?

battery station, thanks kinda confusing don't you think why do they do that? im over here erasing lights from my list because i don't want to have 5 different types of batteries all over the place.

Batterystation should be fine. I use them nearly exclusively; the others I'm using are Surefire.

The only thing about Batterystation: They have slightly different chemistry and characteristics, causing them to drop in voltage more than Surefires during discharge (at least, that's the current knowledge from my side). The only light so far that has some problem with that is the SF A2.

I have no problems with them in usual unregulated Incans, so your M6 should be fine.

Just follow the usual safety rules: Never mix batteries from different brands and different batches. Never short-circuit. Do not overdischarge. Never leave the light turned on after the batteries show signs of depletion (serious dimming). Always lock out the light, or remove the batteries when the light is not in use, especially for transporting.
