123 primaries: Surefire or Energizer?

I've seen Energizer 123's at better prices thanks to CPF tips, but so far I'm just blown away with the Surefire cells - I'm fairly positive they've exceeded the runtime estimates of anything I've run flashlight-wise.

Maybe I'm just blown away at the efficiency of modern lights...

I buy NOTHING but Energizers for everything else, lithiums whenever possible.

But I've so far seen good things (far as I know) with the SF cells...

My best guess is this question would be a "hair splitter" that "depends on the exact application", if there's any difference at all...

Pretty much the same either way?

I buy bulk duracell lithiums.

They are made in the USA and are alot cheaper than Surefire cells.

They are just as good aswell.

Much closer these days I guess.

Duracell seemed to be it in the 70's.

Energizer just killed them in the 80's - that's direct personal experience via a TON of "Walkmans".

90's I didn't use much portable equipment (spent all that money on computer crap)

Evidently I'm just so out of touch that almost anything amazes me these days...

I know what you mean.
I grew up an Energizer man... but since being here that has changed.

I definitely prefer duracell now :shrug::thinking:
