123\'s on airplanes?

Is it unsafe to have 123's in your carry-on or checked luggage? Will they take them away?

Re: 123\'s on airplanes?

I've yet to have a problem with them as long as they were in something and not loose. Mexico is the only country I know of so far that doesn't allow loose cells on airplanes. (I think the security people may have found a better (and free) way to supply batteries for their lights than ordering in bulk /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Transporting small quantities of batteries shouldn't be a problem. Only take what you think you'll need for your trip.

As Xrunner said, secure them. I suggest binding them side by side with tape or rubberband, and putting them in a small bag. You don't want them to short out and cause a fire. I suggest you put them in carry-on. Same goes for all batteries.
