Anyone know of a decent drop-in for one of these. I am not looking for absolute throw. I want a decent mixture of throw and flood, much like the Malkoff M60. It is my understanding that 12v is too much voltage for this drop-in?

Anyone have any thoughts to help me out? Anyone have one of these lights with an excellent LED?

Not exactly sure what you're referring to...
Wolf Eyes lights are different from Pila lights.
12V is too much for the XR-E Malkoff dropins. There are some bargain dropins which take higher voltages. But it depends on what light you're talking about. A Malkoff and most other P60 dropins do not fit into Wolf Eyes lights. Not sure about Pilas, someone else will have to chime in.

I am guessing that you have a M90 type light (12V), so you are most likely looking for a D36 size lamp assembly. You could try one of the Lumens Factory D36 LED units, they go up to 13V.......

Thanks. I tried the D36. It was all throw with zero spill.

The lights are a Pila GL4 and the Wolfeyes M90x, I believe.

I own a Pila GL4 and got some D36 dropins (from Pila and from Lumensfactory). I never found other D36 dropins. Only LF have led dropins. As you said, they are throw oriented.

If you find other D36 led dropins, tell us :)

Thanks. There are two versions of the D36 and the question was as to which one he had purchased.
