I've been looking for a reliable 12v charger for my 18650s on the go, but the options are limited and the ones I found so far have charging issues.. So I want to know what you think about these:
First is the DSD charger and a nokia car charger. The DSD is not an actual charger and charging rate is rather slow. But I havent read that it will overcharge the batteries. DSD + nokia charger will cost about $13.
The second choice is a hobby lipo/liion charger, will charge up to 3S but not parallel, comes with current cotroller so it will charge any type of li-ion cells. For this charger I will have to make a 18650 holder from pvc tubes. It delivers proper charging and protects the battery against reverse polarity and overcharge. Will cost about $25 total.
I would like to go with the DSD and nokia charger, but some cpfers have reported issues like lack of CV stage and improper connection with charger. So do you think I should get the DSD? will it safely charge my li-ion batteries?
